SEDS-Canada’s Young Space Entrepreneurs (YSpacE) competition kicks off, with participants from across Canada.
Toronto, ON: Students for the Exploration and Development of Space (SEDS-Canada) has selected twenty students to participate in the 2020-21 Young Space Entrepreneurs (YSpacE) competition. YSpacE is Canada’s only business plan competition with a focus on the space sector. SEDS-Canada aims to empower students with the experience and confidence to target problems in the space sector, develop solutions, and turn them into profitable ideas. YSpacE accomplishes this by providing opportunities to develop an executive summary for a business idea and learn from experts through webinars to refine their plans.
The twenty participants have formed seven teams who will brainstorm ideas for a product or service relevant for the Canadian space market and create a thorough business plan based on their idea.

Top teams will advance to the final Pitch Competition, where they will compete for the following prizes:

- Second Place Prize: $400 cash, sponsored by SATCAN
- Third Place Prize: $200 cash, sponsored by Mosaic Creativity and Innovation Hub
